Selfridges Christmas NPD 2019

The luxury department store debuts an own-label vegan range, delivers twists on festive favourites and goes sustainable by excluding palm oil from its products.

Selfridges is launching its first-ever collection of own-label vegan products, targeting the sweet side of Christmas in particular. All its Selfridges Selection products are also palm oil-free, with the retailer either ditching oil altogether or using‘more sustainable’ alternatives like sunflower and rapeseed oil.


Mince Pie Advent Calendar

Count down to Christmas with a daily mini mince pie, be it classic, chocolate, almond or citrus topped. For the big day itself, there’s a mini icing-topped Christmas cake, handmade in the Cotswolds.

White Chocolate and Pistachio Biscuits

Made by Percy’s Bakery, each thin is individually dipped in white chocolate and sprinkled with pistachios.

Italian Chocolate Baci di Dama

An Italian speciality meaning ‘lady’s kisses,’ these biscuits are made with Giffoni hazelnuts and chocolate.


Pumpkin Spiced Panettone

Handmade in Verona, this twist on the traditional Christmas cake contains candied pumpkin and warming festive spices, including ginger, cinnamon, turmeric and nutmeg.

Figgy Pudding

Made with vine fruits, candied figs, almonds and spices, then steeped in cider, brandy and orange liqueur, this pudding is hand-decorated with a gold-covered glace orange slice and presented in a ceramic basin.

Chocolate Pralines

Made in Brighton by family-run company Be Chocolat, each truffle is made with toasted almond flakes and 60% Ghanaian dark chocolate.

Chocolate Fruit & Nut Fudge

Using oat milk to add creaminess, this mouthful is studded with walnuts and raisons and finished with a dark chocolate drizzle.


Gingerbread Snow Globe

The showstopping dessert of the range is handmade in Dorset by master baker Alix Fauvel. A 3D gingerbread Christmas tree comes in a glass jar with edible snow, forming an edible snow globe.

Cherry & Amaretto Christmas Pudding

Selfridges has tweaked the traditional pud recipe, switching the usual fillings for vine fruits, purple cherries and a splash of rum and amaretto. It’s then topped with sweet cherries and a sprinkling of crunchy almonds.

Italian Salted Caramel Panettone

Hailing from the Veneto region of northern Italy and baked by the Filippi family, this is a sweeter twist on the Italian classic.

Artisan Christmas Cake

A traditional fruit cake handmade by master baker Alix Fauvel, it is given the luxury touch with a 24k edible gold leaf Christmas tree.


Cherry & Amaretto Jam

Taking Christmas day toast up a notch, this is made by Thursday Cottage, a brand that has been creating its small-batch jams for 50 years using traditional open-pan cooking.

Festive Cinnamon Honey

Buzzing with festive flavour, this honey is infused with seasonal spices and features a stick of cinnamon floating in the golden nectar.
