About Me:
My life is blessed: I'm "wife" to my best friend and "mom" to a precious daughter-dog. I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist with a B.A. in Philosophy, and currently working on a B.S. in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health. Life is good! :)
Hi Brooke...you wrote to me back in June and I am just going through all of my e-mails and saw yours. i am actually going to the same school as you, but I am doing my masters in holistic Nutrition. How are classes going for you so far?
I see people looking at me funny when I take a moment and pause over my food. People assume it's a prayer, and sometimes it is. Sometimes I am just sending thanks to the person who labored over my meal. Last night I ate in a great vegetarian Indian restaurant and the owner waited on our table. She had such good energy and was back in the kitchen making sure my dishes were vegan. Thus, it all tasted so great due to her energy.
Thanks Brooke. They all keep me busy but I guess some say the busier you are the more productive you can be:) A husband and a dog sound nice too, I remeber those days. I am planning on cleaning out my house before the kids go back to school and starting on a healthier eating pattern. Can't wait as I'm having a huge garage sale next Saturday. I love this website for all the inspiration on the meals and comments on food. Have a great week.
Hey Brooke,
To answer your question...I am about 1/2 way through the bachelor program at CCNH. It has taken me 13 months to get to this point. I typically commit to 8-10 hours per week to my studies.
Yes Brooke, but it is never updated. We're hoping for a whole new look and name soon. We are incorporating Goldcare software and an interactive site in the future. You are right, there's nothing better. And even with the stress of other people's stress it still feels so right. I'm sure that you can relate:)

I should try it...I mean I have iced a cake before. I use to waitress, bartend, cook all of it. I met my husband at the pub that I worked at when I was at OCA. He worked in fine dining as a server and manager for years. We made a huge career move and change when I got pregnant with our son (now 4)...it's been worth it. It was a hard lifestyle. Now I work for a NFP organization that supports seniors and people with physical disabilities. I love it!

I just joined and was taken by your photos.
I love to cook myself, and to bake. Since becoming vegan two months ago, I am having to learn how to do both of these things in new ways.
