So.. I am starting Dr. Asa Andrew's anti inflammatory diet today for the second time. I made it 2.5 weeks last time..but then went off the deep end with processed flours, sugar, fat and all that yummy stuff. But I have decided i will be stronger this time. I have a larger support group of fellow dieters, and I am thinking good positive thoughts about how chaning my diet and bringing balance to my body might help out my ovaries. Poor things, dont know for sure if they are working, which makes the baby making hard. Started seeing a reproductive endocrinologist 2 weeks ago, and have a battery of testing lined up. Hopefully I can help my body correct itself as much as possible so things will turn out well with less medicinal assistance. We'll see! Off to whole foods to break the bank on good food!

Hey Melissa! Who is Dr.Andrew? In school Dr. Walter Willet of Harvard talked regarding the American diet destroying the ability to reproduce....I think he just put out a new book. You are the first person I have met that is really getting serious with the diet in regards to reproduction. I am very excited to hear about your process! Plus, I am excited that you have the guts & drive to take responsibility & venture outside the medical box. I find it very difficult in the Knoxville, TN area to find like-minded people. I have been counselled by many acheivers that I should move...alas, my husband is here. So, how is the community of Mur freesboro? Are you really off to THE Whole Foods (store)? Thought the only one was in Nashville... I am really missing WF. How is the dermo office? Are they into aesthetics? Look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks for writing!

Just wanted to mention that diet plays a huge role with those individuals with PCOS and most Doctors will recommend a more diabetic-like diet. It's really not all that uncommon. We have Whole Foods in Canada too Paula and lots of other stores like it. I'm not familiar with that diet either though...?
