Hey Audrey, I had very similiar issues and when I stressed I would have the complete opposite end of the spectrum. I was diagnosed with borderline irritable bowel syndrome and I thought I was doing well with all the dietary changes. I lived like th…

Great! If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know. For how long have you been a wholesale shopper through Arbonne? Do you order online often?

Hahaha....that's what I did too! I went hypoallergenic for 3 weeks and then went on vacation. I still need to get back on that bandwagon though. I'm supposed to follow up 3 weeks of hypoallergenic eating with a candida and parasite cleanse. I think I'll give it a go again in Sept. after my summer binge is over ;)

Glad to hear you're doing well.

How's that hypoallergenic diet going? You may need some support to get through it.....I know I did!!

Ok, I want to respond adequately, but I also want to be totally transparent. I am a consultant for a company (Arbonne) who does sell the products that I am going to talk about. I don't want to be one of those people full of advise who ultimately just wants to sell something! I truly want to help because I know how miserable this can be. However, I am totally serious when I say that they have worked for me and many people I know. With that said....1) I noticed that caffeine seriously affected by bowel habits and if I drank too much I would develop IBS symtpoms. 2) I also noticed that my hormone levels affected my bowel patterns. I am much more likely to be "regular" prior to ovulation. What I have discovered is that, (many people have given you a plethora of ideas as to why this all occurrs and what to do about it) the simple fact of the matter is that as we age our bodies lose their ability to manufacture digestive enzymes. (You generally don't hear a 10 year old complain of heartburn!) Also the guess work of what supplements to take, when to take them and in what dosage can leave your head spinning!

I take Arbonne's Nutritional Hybrids. They are amazing and contain a gender specific blend and also a DIGESTIVE ENZYME tablet! This has been wonderful for me! No more heartburn, excessive gas or constipation! Yahoo! They come in packets to be used in the a.m. and the p.m. No weird "vitamin taste" or smell. They are a cold pressed whole food supplement. Now when my period is looming and things get a little more challenging, I add a herbal colon cleanse tablet before bedtime and this has also been a God-send. I use this when I travel as well! Nothing tends to mess the system up like traveling!

You can find more information at www.arbonne.com or my website, www.bethfriesen.myarbonne.com. Now, I know you are in Canada, but I believe you can get them there as well. (Some of our products are not available in other countries while we await government testing...) Arbonne is a 28 year old company and we have only been in Canada for a few years. I'm not sure if you may have heard of it or not. We are famous for our skin care - but these products are what people really fall in love with. When I can make someone feel better and even quit taking antacids or prescription meds, they become customers for life!!!

Arbonne offers a 45 day money back guarantee - so I would encourage you to take the 30 day Hybrid challenge. If you use the whole box and you don't notice a difference, send it back for a full refund! That is how much Arbonne stands behind it's products! Isn't that awesome?

Please let me know if you have questions or if I can help. My personal email is bethnci@neb.rr.com. Feel free to email anytime. I hope you will take this message in the spirit it is intended. I notice that many people on the site have sometime to sell. I don't want to be that - just want to help!!

Take care! Where are you going on your cruise? Sounds awesome!

Hi Audrey - just checking in. I read the discussion on constipation and wondered how you were doing. I've struggled some off and on in the past. Hope you are doing better!

Lessons Learned?

Well it's been a while since I've posted an update... After an initial loss of 18 pounds in the first 2 months on the Flat Belly Diet, throughout July I was less consistent in following the plan. I have more or less maintained my loss, although have been going up and down the same 2 or 3 pounds. Recently, though, I experienced yet another bout of Food poisoning (or so I assume... I tend to get food poisoning 1-2 times a year, even when no one else who I ate with experiences anything, so I must b… Continue

I'm baaaaack!

Ya baby! LOL Well, after the week long not-so-weight-reducing-eating-habits followed by the weekend wedding celebrations, and combine that with getting my period and I managed to find my weight up 6 pounds. Ouch. BUT, drumroll please..... I went back on the Flat Belly Diet jumpstart to eliminate any of the fluid retention weight and as of this morning I was back down 5.5 of those pounds. Yippeeee! So now I can get back to the business of dumping this weight! I'm feeling good, although I admit wi… Continue

Checkin in

Been a while since I updated here... I managed to stay really well on my eating plan for a full... 5 weeks or so, and lost a total of 15 pounds in that time. It really started to show, and definitely felt it in my clothes. I really love how easy the diet has been to incorporate into my lifestyle and that I had no cravings... Until... last week. Mwah mwah mwaaaaah. LOL Cravings started last Friday... I'm not sure if they are PMS (a whole week of PMS? Is that normal? I've never really experienced… Continue

Do you hate to exercise?

Cindy's comment to me in my last blog posting got me thinking... so much of our lifestyle choices, and how well we consistently are able to make changes for the long term is really determined by our perspective on them. It really can be such a small shift in the way we look at things that makes the most impact on our success. As Cindy reminded me, focus on what you CAN eat rather than what you CAN'T. Hm, suddenly doesn't seem so much like I'm being restricted, or even "on a diet" does it? There'… Continue

Still hanging in there....

So... 3 weeks now and I'm still hanging in... I have had no cravings at all until just this weekend (I think PMS is rearing its ugly head).... I allowed myself a "cheat meal" of a good burger (whole wheat bun, with guacamole and veggies and horseradish on it!) and New York fries. Other than that, my calorie intake may have been a little high on the weekend, but I was very active this weekend so I'm not worried about that. I didn't lose any pounds this past week though, and now, well, PMS and tha… Continue
