How are you? I'm OrthoMed and new to this site. I'm interested in meeting some new people that share my passion for nutrition and healthy living.

Tell me a bit about you - what sort of work do you do? What brought you here?

Hey!

Ok....I guess I don't know you! I didn't see your actual name up, but thought seeing as you were from Toronto and into holistic nutrition that I might know you. I'm just about to graduate from CSNN in Mississauga.

My interest in Nutrition began a few years ago when I started experimenting with natural treatments of anxiety. I began by taking sugar out of my diet, cut down on caffeine and acohol......I also started on EFA's and 5 HTP. It made a huge difference. The last couple of years I really noticed a negative change in my moods come October, so I decided to start supplementing with Vit. D. That's really helped to take the edge off!

What else? Well, having children has definitely taken me into a much deeper exploration of nutrition for various reasons that I won't get into here. Check out the blog archives for "Oliver's Story" that will explain a lot of it!

Cheers!

I am just as new to this site, I can definitely relate to Sarah. I saw the link on facebook and had to get signed up right away. Although I don't know much about the 'nitty-gritty' of health nutrition, I understand the value of healthy living. I know that you can't get the right outcome with out the right income. I'm open-minded and I'm here to learn.
I'm currently working with the world’s largest health & wellness brand. They sponsor some of the world's top athletes like Asafa Powell & Ronaldinho. They specialize in healthy living and optimum health through Organic supplementation. Hopefully I can learn from people's experiences and expertise and maybe even help some people looking for a better way to get what they need.

What do you do?

I am a Nutrcaceutical Consultant for a line of products and health services for health professionals called Nutrmetrix Advanced Nutraceuticals. In addition I am a distributor of the same products for individuals. In addition our Transitions Lifestyle System which is a low glycemic way of eating has produced incredible results for many individuals. It is a combination of healthy eating exercising and a lifestyle change. My passion for health and nutrition stemmed from my son being diagonosed with Chrons disease at 14. After 2 years of medical care he was on 35 to 40 pills a day and going nowhere. I then put him on a regiment of digestive products from our product line and changed his diet and within 4 months he was off all his medications and thriving. He is not 18 and living a active lifestyle and is in better health then he ever has been. In addition his disease is in remission. My goals are to help everyone I can with a healthier lifestyle.

That's an awesome story Randy. I'm so glad your son is doing well. I'd love to learn more about what helped him.

Hi Cindy,

We have him on an isotonic Digestive Enzyme Supplement with Probiotics, Strawberry Kiwi Aloe Juice, OPC-3 (Antioxidant), Complete Greens and Omega 3's. In addition we have him on a gluten free diet which we received a book called Breaking the Vicious Cycle from a personal friend who also had Chrons.
